As we all know that repeating any content for a longer time will make it is stored at our sub-conscious mind . Information that is at our subconscious level will be used to take any of our actions in future . It is like customizing the windows just after you get your new laptop and once done all the display will change in future similarly all the action you take is at sub conscious level . Only difference is that it is easy to change the settings in windows but it not easy for a human mind to un-learn something and re-learn it .

During the early childhood days, the subconscious mind is in its accumulating mode and collects all the data from our surroundings \ our experiences .Since our childhood we are being taught to be conscious about the bodies as we are young enough to understand what is good or bad the most repeated lines in our early childhood are

Take care of yourself (body)or Be careful(about your body) etc

It is the first lesson that we (our sub conscious mind) learn and it is the being trained to consider yourself as bodies. This is the main reason why most of us die with the feeling of being the body is we are told to be conscious about our actions so that we don't get hurt ourselves or others hurt .

Few points that could help to change your mindset would be

1. Start not to judge anyone by their appearance/body level

2. Believe at soul can help you to connect you to your higher self .Just like it was showing in Avatar movie where people can connect to the mother nature (the tree) via their tails .

3. Practice meditation and sit for a while looking at it without any thoughts running .

4. Focus on your breath.

Somehow we consider yourself as wholly as body and we are here in to be the caretaker of the body and the others body as well who are our loved ones . There are few other society and media partner's also involved that plays a major role to give you that support that you are not a soul but you are a body .We start thinking that I = body , but what make us differenet is our Mind .

Points where thinking your self as soul will help you are :

· Considering ourself at soul level make you feel more free .

· As it makes you feel more stronger as body is your weakness .

· Gives a sense of independence which is not restricted by any limitation that is given to you by society or surroundings

· It helps you to be more compassionate as it helps you to connect to others souls and not bodies .
