2 Minutes: When you open an email, read it carefully, and then decide what to do with it. If you can respond or complete the task within two minutes or less, do it right away. This prevents small tasks from piling up and becoming big chores.
1 time sorting: Once in a day decide to sort all your emails in the Folders based on if it needs action, filing, or deleting. If it's not important, delete it. If it's important but you can't do anything about it right now, move it to your "To-Do" folder. If it's something you want to keep for reference, move it to your "Reference" folder.
